AMC Training Centre Pty Ltd (AMC) is committed to ensuring the privacy of individual’s information. AMC respects the need for confidentiality of information and provides a secure framework to protect personal details, held by AMC, from collection of information, use & disclosure, storage, security and accessibility.

AMC collects personal information in several ways. These may include: application forms, questionnaires, customer feedback forms, e-mail requests, web site requests and sales, telephone, facsimile, correspondence, consultancies or contact in person. Personal information collected by AMC may include, but is not limited to: name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, credit card number and expiry date.

Personal information will be used by AMC under the following conditions:

• AMC will not use personal information, for any purpose, which is not related to the services or products AMC provides to individuals and organisation they work for. AMC may use personal information to inform individuals of other AMC & Gillespie Group entities products/services which AMC feels maybe of some interest/benefit to the individual.
• AMC monitors who is accessing our web site or using services offered on the web site and to profile the type of people accessing the web site. If you do not wish to have your personal information used in this manner or for any other specific purpose, you can email us accordingly. (We utilise “cookies” which enable us to monitor traffic patterns and to serve you more efficiently if you revisit the site. A cookie does not identify you personally, but it does identify your computer. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, and this will provide you with an opportunity to either accept or reject it in each instance).
• AMC will not disclose personal information to third parties except where it is required by law or legislation for reporting purposes.
• AMC will only disclose personal information with individual’s consent.
• AMC will not disclose personal information to any third-party individual or entity for marketing purposes.
• At any time, individuals have the right to request that AMC remove their personal details from any marketing activity.

AMC takes reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is accurate, complete and up-to-date whenever information is collected or used. If individual’s find that the current personal information (Learner Information) that AMC holds is inaccurate, the individual may approach AMC and the information will be amended.

• AMC protects personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. Personal information may be stored in either electronic data or hard copy documents.
• Only AMC authorised users may access personal information and only for approved purposes.
• All AMC employees are aware of their obligations under the Privacy Act legislation. All AMC employees sign ‘Confidentiality Agreements’ as part of their employment contract as a condition of employment.

All participants can access (under supervision) their own personal information. The participant may approach the Training Co-ordinator and log their request to access the file upon the Learner Access Sheet. A request can only be authorised by the Manager. If any amendments or alterations arise from any issues that occur from this access they must be documented in our Complaints and Appeals Report which will be completed in conjunction with the Training Co-ordinator.

Access to our web site may be terminated at any time by us without notice. Our disclaimer will nevertheless survive any such termination.

If you believe that your personal information has been compromised in any way, please contact the AMC Privacy Officer, who will be your first point of contact should a privacy issue arise. Our Privacy Officer will investigate your complaint in complete confidence and make a formal response to you. If you are dissatisfied with our internal complaint process the complaint will be passed onto the Privacy Commissioner.
