MYOB End of Year Seminar 2019

MEY19

Staying on top of legislation, bookkeeping and use of your MYOB software is becoming ever more important with the recent legislative changes to payroll reporting! You can’t afford to miss these important sessions updating you not only on end of financial and payroll year processes but also critical reporting and employer obligations recently introduced by the Australian Taxation Office.

Select from one of two (half day) sessions, depending on where you are up to in your knowledge of bookkeeping and exposure to the NEW Single Touch Payroll reporting:
  • Tuesday 18th June, 2019 - STP READY and EOY: ideal for those not yet in the Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting process (1-19 employees) and keen to understand what they need to do, when and how to get started.
  • Thursday 20th June, 2019 - FAST TRACK EOY: perfect for those already reporting under STP, or have attended our previous sessions and keen to understand this years new 'finalisation' process replacing Payment Summaries... yes, no more Payment Summaries! Whilst this session will have an update on STP it will assume an understanding of the required reporting from attending previous events in order to go through this years EOY changed processes and updated MYOB AR features.
BOTH sessions will cover the EOY processes, include guest speakers on a range of bookkeeping related topics.

Presenters include:
  • Scott Payne, Single Touch Payroll Team, Australian Taxation Office
  • Shane Duffy, Payroll Specialist, Employment Innovations
  • Pam Chilman, Trainer, AMC Training Centre, Long standing MYOB Certified Consultant
Presenters will educate you on how legislative changes impact your role, step you through the fundamentals and provide you with the inside edge on all the critical issues.

We will show you how to carry out the required preparation tasks and run payroll using your MYOB, including the reconciliation of payroll and production of Payment Summaries (or for those already in STP the new process) plus much more as we present other compliance changes that might have slipped past your radar, with all the latest issues affecting bookkeeping and the software you use.

Don't assume by using bank feeds, all financial aspects are taken care of. Unless your accountant is also working for you as your bookkeeper and payroll officer, you will be required to follow some defined end of year procedures before confirming your financial year is complete and ready for the tax work to be carried out. Learn how to carry out these steps with easy to understand information.

You will leave with:
  • Understanding new and updated legislation and impact on your software
  • A clear understanding of the changes with year-end procedures, especially with STP
  • Important but simple to read reference notes
And more!
