Keeping up to date in finance as well as with your use of MYOB software is becoming ever more important and ever more difficult with constant changes! You cannot afford to miss these important sessions updating you not only on end of financial and payroll year processes but also critical reporting and employer obligations.
 
These important update sessions provide information on not only key product updates changes, but a ‘refresh’ on end of financial and payroll year processes, along with critical reporting and employer obligations outlined by the Australian Taxation Office and Fair Work Australia. This event is more than just end of year payroll, it is also an update on what is happening in the profession to ensure you keep up to date and maintain your CPD (continuing professional development) hours.  
 
This year we are delivering our 'Year End Update' sessions with the option of Face to Face, to allow engagement with guest speakers and our team, or as an Online Seminar to ensure we can continue to deliver lots of useful content, bring in subject matter experts including specialist presenters, all from the convenience of your computer.
 
Sessions will cover the EOY processes and include guest speakers on a range of finance industry related topics.

As in past years, we again welcome our great line up of subject matter experts to present on the latest issues:
  • FairWork staff will explain the latest changes affecting payroll officers and business owners including the Casual Conversion Clause, new and updated resources 
  • ATO Assistant Commissioner providing an update on Single Touch Payroll - Phase 2 (Sylvia Gallagher 18th June/Michael Karavas 23rd June) 
  • Pam Chilman, Trainer, AMC Training Centre, longstanding MYOB Certified Consultant to present on the important (and ever changing) software related features to compliment the content from the guest presenters. Pam will provide an update on changes for this years processes associated with the end of a financial year as well as the new MYOB Browser option, with Pro's and Con's!
Presenters will educate you on how legislative changes impact your role, step you through the fundamentals and provide you with the inside edge on all the critical issues, along with an update on your MYOB products new features and upcoming changes.  
 
We will show you how to carry out the required EOY preparation tasks, including the annual reconciliation of payroll and updated ‘finalisation’ processes, plus much more as we present compliance changes that might have slipped past your radar.

Don't assume by using bank feeds, all financial aspects are taken care of. Unless your accountant is also working for you as your bookkeeper and payroll officer, you will be required to follow some defined end of year procedures before confirming your financial year is complete and ready for the tax work to be carried out. Learn how to carry out these steps with easy to understand information, or if already carrying out the EOY processes, attend the Fast Track date to keep up to date and refine this years processes to reflect the every changing product and be prepared for the stages of business during this year’s financial impact from the pandemic.

Second Tuesday of each month! 

Our popular networking sessions are held at our AMC Training Centre in Phillip, on the second Tuesday of each month. Run in conjunction with ICB (Institute of Certified Bookkeepers) they are informal update sessions for all bookkeepers. We encourage our Certificate IV in Bookkeeping students to attend along with anyone working in the bookkeeping profession. If you are interested in attending just let us know so we can send you an email specific to these sessions prior to the event to remind you. 

In 2021 meetings will continue to be scheduled second Tuesday of every month (except January) from 6pm to approximately 7:15pm

Topics: Vary each month, but always includes an update on the latest issues affecting bookkeeping.
