Award Winner – plus the ICE BUCKET Challenge 1 September 2014 Uncategorized Pam Chilman, from AMC Training Centre returned from the MYOB National Conference in Queensland with the 2014 MYOB Top ACT Award, having received this award since its introduction 8 years ago. ‘This year’s conference was about Connecting and taking technology to the next level, with MYOB presenting tools to connect businesses with various agencies automating a range of often time consuming obligations. As always the Conference is a fantastic way to see and hear the future direction of the MYOB product and add-ons to ensure we deliver the most up to date offerings to our clients’, said Pam Chilman. ‘After some early issues with the MYOB updated product, we are pleased to see development has addressed and extensively revamped the product using the latest technologies, catering for those keen to embrace cloud technology, allowing better engagement with advisors, accountants and bookkeepers, along with continuing to offer desktop options, for a total solution around financial systems. I just love how technology can help a business connect and substantially increase their efficiencies to help put them in their best position’ she said. With increasing take up of online solutions, and being Partners of the key accounting software products, Pam and her team are excited to be able to show clients the different options available as well as how to increase their productivity. ‘Who would have thought you would ever have been able to connect with major agencies such as your bank, your Superannuation Funds, your Suppliers, and a range of Government agencies, all from within your accounting software – all in a matter of seconds, having data pre-filled. Features like this have revolutionised the way bookkeeping is now carried out,’ she said Services that improve bookkeeping processes and the learning around these tools are AMC’s focus, with the launch of their MYOB News Channel to present the latest updates online each month to bookkeepers. AMC is very excited with the launch of this unique initiative that provides guidance to business on the features available and tailored training to allow owners and bookkeepers to skill up in cost effective sessions, no matter where they are located. AMC support the bookkeeping profession, who often lack regular support and training services, with these one hour sessions showing the latest technology to provide important, cost effective assistance during this time of change yet still ensuring they maintain current skills. Whilst the conference has a lot of learning and update sessions, Pam still managed to find time to have some fun with other award winning Partners as well as be involved with MYOB’s Tim Reed Ice Bucket challenge AMC Training Centre Background The AMC Training Centre is a training productivity specialist centre based in the centre of Phillip and provides ongoing support for small to medium business as well as departments and agencies, committed to increasing productivity since 1992.
